- 6-8 fresh blackberries
- 2 ounces tequila blanco
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice about 1 lime
- 1 ounce triple sec or orange liqueur
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Salt or sugar for the rim optional
- Lime wedge and blackberry for garnish
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass.
Dip the rim into a plate of salt or sugar, depending on your preference. Set aside.
Add the fresh blackberries to a cocktail shaker.
Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to smash the berries until juicy.
Pour in 2 ounces of tequila blanco, 1 ounce of lime juice, 1 ounce of triple sec, and 1 ounce of simple syrup over the muddled berries.
Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
