- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 4-5 oz Lemon-lime soda or club soda
- 1 oz Grenadine
- Ice
- 1 –2 maraschino cherries for garnish
- Lemon or lime wedge optional, for garnish
Fill a tall glass (like a highball or Collins glass) about three-quarters full with ice. Chilling your glass beforehand is optional but enhances the experience.
Pour 1.5 ounces of vodka over the ice. Adjust the amount to taste—more for a stronger drink, less for a lighter one.
Add 4–5 ounces of lemon-lime soda for a sweet, fizzy base. Substitute with club soda if you prefer a less sugary version.
Slowly pour 1 ounce of grenadine over the soda. For a layered look, don’t stir yet—let the grenadine settle at the bottom for a stunning gradient effect.
Drop in 1–2 maraschino cherries. For an extra flair, skewer them on a cocktail pick and rest it on the glass rim.
Add a lemon or lime wedge to the rim for a tangy kick, or squeeze a few drops into the drink for balance.
Stir gently if you prefer the flavors evenly blended, or leave it layered for a more dramatic presentation.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
