Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz Earl Grey tea brewed and chilled
  • 1 oz fresh blackberry puree
  • ½ oz honey syrup 1:1 honey and water
  • ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • Fresh blackberries and a lemon wheel optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Brew a strong cup of Earl Grey tea, let it cool, and refrigerate it until chilled.
  • Make honey syrup by combining equal parts honey and warm water, stirring until smooth.
  • Puree fresh blackberries in a blender, then strain the mixture using a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • Add 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz chilled Earl Grey tea, 1 oz blackberry puree, ½ oz honey syrup, and ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill the shaker halfway with ice. Seal it tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosty.
  • Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice. Strain the cocktail into the glass using a fine-mesh strainer to catch any pulp or tea leaves.
  • Add a few fresh blackberries and a lemon wheel on top for a polished finish.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace bourbon with sparkling water or soda.
  • Use frozen blackberries if fresh ones aren’t available—just thaw them before pureeing.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey syrup to taste.
