Ingredients
  

  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato
  • 1 oz hot espresso or strong coffee freshly brewed
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur e.g., Kahlúa
  • 1 oz heavy cream optional, for extra creaminess
  • Ice
  • Chocolate shavings or coffee beans optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Brew a fresh shot of espresso or a small cup of strong coffee. Set it aside to cool slightly so it doesn’t melt the ice too quickly.
  • Fill a martini glass with ice water and let it sit while preparing the cocktail. This ensures the drink stays cold when served.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, and heavy cream (if using).
  • Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and frothy.
  • Dump the ice water from your martini glass, dry it, and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the glass.
  • Strain the shaken cocktail mixture over the ice cream, letting it pool around the scoop for a stunning presentation.
  • Top with chocolate shavings, a dusting of cocoa powder, or a few coffee beans for a decorative finish.
