- 2 oz vanilla vodka
- 1 oz gingerbread syrup store-bought or homemade
- 1 oz coffee liqueur or Irish cream optional
- 1 oz heavy cream half-and-half, or a dairy-free alternative (e.g., coconut cream or oat milk)
- Ice enough to fill a shaker
- Crushed gingerbread cookies or spiced sugar for rimming the glass
- Whipped cream optional
- Cinnamon stick star anise, or a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water, simple syrup, or gingerbread syrup.
Dip the rim into crushed gingerbread cookies or spiced sugar and set the glass aside.
Place the rimmed glass in the refrigerator or freezer while preparing the drink to ensure it stays cold.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add 2 oz vanilla vodka, 1 oz gingerbread syrup, 1 oz coffee liqueur or Irish cream (if using), and 1 oz cream or cream alternative.
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and frothy.
Using a cocktail strainer, pour the mixture into the chilled, prepared martini glass, avoiding the rim garnish.
Add a dollop of whipped cream, sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top, and garnish with a cinnamon stick or star anise for extra flair.
Enjoy!
Tips:
- For a frothier drink, shake longer or add a whisked egg white to the shaker.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less gingerbread syrup to taste.
- For a dairy-free version, opt for coconut cream or oat milk instead of heavy cream.
