- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz pickle juice from dill pickles
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz orange liqueur Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 1/2 oz simple syrup optional, to taste
- Ice for shaking and serving
- Coarse salt or Tajín for rimming the glass
- Lime wedge for garnish
- Pickle spear optional, for garnish
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita or cocktail glass.
Dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín to coat.
Chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes for an extra-refreshing touch.
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz silver tequila, 1 oz pickle juice, 1 oz lime juice, 1 oz orange liqueur, and 1/2 oz simple syrup (if desired).
Fill the shaker with ice, about halfway, to chill and dilute the drink perfectly.
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and frothy.
Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice.
Strain the shaken margarita over the ice.
Add a lime wedge to the rim and a pickle spear inside the glass for a fun and flavorful garnish.
Optional Spicy Version: Muddle jalapeño slices in the shaker before adding ingredients, or use spicy pickle juice for an extra kick.
