Ingredients
  

For the margarita:

  • 2 oz tequila blanco or reposado
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 oz fresh mango puree
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1-2 slices fresh jalapeño adjust for spice preference
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup or honey
  • Ice cubes

For the rim and garnish:

  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coarse salt
  • Lime wedge
  • Thin slice of mango or jalapeño optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Mix chili powder and coarse salt on a small plate.
  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass to moisten it.
  • Dip the rim into the chili-salt mixture, twisting to coat evenly. Set aside.
  • Blend fresh mango pieces (or thawed frozen mango) until smooth. Add a splash of water if needed for consistency.
  • Measure 2 oz of the puree for the cocktail.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine: 2 oz tequila, 1 oz triple sec, 2 oz mango puree, 1 oz lime juice, 1 tbsp agave syrup, 1-2 jalapeño slices.
  • Add ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, or until the shaker feels frosty.
  • Fill the rimmed glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the margarita into the glass using a fine-mesh strainer to catch seeds and pulp.
  • Garnish with a slice of mango, a jalapeño wheel, or a lime wedge.
  • Sip your sweet and spicy creation!
