What to Pack for 2 days in Seville
Now that you know how to prepare for your trip, it’s time to start packing!
Here’s what you should pack for a trip to Seville:
Passport – Don’t forget your passport! You’ll need it to enter Spain.
Visa – If you’re a US citizen and planning to stay in the country for more than 90 days, you’ll need a visa to enter the country. Be sure to apply for one in advance of your trip. Spanish and other EU citizens do not require a visa to enter Spain.
Comfortable shoes – as mentioned before, Seville is a very walkable city, so you’ll be doing a lot of walking! Be sure to pack comfortable shoes that you can wear all day.
Sunscreen and a hat – Seville is known for its heat, so be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
A light jacket – although it’s usually warm in Seville, evenings can get cool, so it’s always good to have a light jacket with you just in case.
A day bag – you’ll want to pack a small day bag to carry your essentials with you while exploring the city.
Your camera – Seville is a beautiful city with plenty of photo opportunities, so don’t forget to pack your camera! My favorite camera to use while I’m traveling is my Sony a5100 mirrorless camera. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, but it still takes great photos.
If you don’t feel like carrying a camera around all day, you can always use your smartphone!
I’ve found that most smartphones nowadays take pretty good photos, and can sometimes be even better quality than a DSLR camera.
A power adapter – Seville uses the standard European two-pronged power outlets, so be sure to pack a power adapter if you’re coming from another country. If you’re traveling to Seville from another country in the EU, you won’t need a power adapter since the outlets are all compatible.
A few good books – Seville is a great city to relax in, so be sure to pack a few good books to read while you’re there. I always like to bring along at least one travel guidebook and one fiction book when I’m traveling.
A Spanish phrasebook – although most people in Seville speak English, it’s always helpful to know some basic Spanish phrases. Be sure to pack a phrasebook or download a language app so you can communicate with locals while you’re in the city.

Getting to Seville
Seville is easily accessible by plane, train, and bus.
The Seville Airport (SVQ) is located about 10 kilometers from the city center. There are plenty of taxi and Uber options available to get you into the city.
You can also take the EA bus from the airport to Plaza de Armas, which is located in the city center.
If you’re coming from another Spanish city, you can take the AVE high-speed train to Seville. The train station (Santa Justa) is located about 5 kilometers from the city center. You can take a taxi or Uber into the city, or you can take the bus (line 32) from the train station to Plaza de Armas.
There are also several bus companies that offer service to Seville from other Spanish cities.
The bus station (Prado de San Sebastian) is located about 3 kilometers from the city center. You can take a taxi or Uber into the city, or you can take the bus (line 32) from the bus station to Plaza de Armas.
How to get around in Seville
Seville is a very walkable city. Most of the attractions are located within the city center and are easily accessible on foot.
And if you’re looking to explore beyond the city center, there are plenty of public transportation options available.
Bus
The best way to get around Seville is by using the public bus system. Buses in Seville are operated by the EMTSAS company. You can purchase a single-ride ticket for EUR 1.40, or you can purchase a 10-trip ticket card for EUR 12.00. Tickets can be purchased at any EMTSAS office or online via BusBud.
Bike
Another option for getting around Seville is by using the city’s bike-sharing system, SEVICI. You can purchase a day pass for EUR 5.00, which gives you unlimited access to the bikes. Day passes can be purchased at any SEVICI office or at most newsstands.
Train
If you’re looking to explore beyond the city center, you can take the C1 train from Santa Justa station. The C1 train runs to the following destinations:
- Cordoba: 1 hour, 15 minutes
- Jerez: 1 hour, 45 minutes
- Granada: 2 hours, 30 minutes
- Malaga: 2 hours, 45 minutes
