7 Restaurants to Try for the Best Brunch in Paris

If you do anything while you’re in Paris, make sure it’s enjoying a good, long brunch.

Brunch at Hardware Société will NOT disappoint!

Paris is known for its incredible food scene, aesthetically pleasing cafés serving up insta-worthy dishes, and of course, its legendary brunch spots. The French have mastered the art of taking their time with meals and savoring every bite, and brunch is no exception.

I have personally enjoyed eating my way through this city in the three years that I’ve lived here, and have still so many more restaurants on my to-do list that I have yet to discover! One of my favorite things about this city is the vast array of cuisines and brunch foods available.

You can find anything from healthy acai bowls to a decadent eggs benedict, all while people-watching on a lovely Parisian terrace.

There’s truly no better way to spend Sunday mornings than enjoying one of the city’s best brunches with a cold drink, crispy pastries, hot chocolate or coffee, and some fresh fruit.

If you love brunch as much as me, these are my top picks for the best brunch places in Paris.

Is brunch a thing in Paris?

If you’ve traveled to France at all in your lifetime, then you’d probably agree that Paris is usually not the first place that comes to mind when you think of cities with a buzzing brunch scene.

While this dazzling city is known for its baguettes, pain au chocolat, cheese, and wine, it’s not typically known as a place to enjoy a leisurely weekend brunch like in New York or London.

In fact, you may even be thinking: Does brunch in Paris even exist?

The short answer: Yes, brunch in Paris is a common thing nowadays! The rise of the brunch scene in Paris has been relatively recent, but it has quickly become a weekend staple for many Parisians and visitors alike.

7 Delicious Restaurants with the Best Brunch in Paris

Holybelly 5

holybelly 5
Photo: Holybelly 5

Location: 5 Rue Lucien Sampaix, 75010 Paris

Price range: €€

Why I like it: The food is AMAZING. Seriously, some of the best I’ve had in Paris. They have a great selection of both sweet and savory dishes, as well as an impressive drinks menu. The service is also wonderful- the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

What to order: The poached egg on housemade brioche and a breakfast cocktail (or coffee)

Hours: Open daily from 9am to 5pm

This industrial-chic style café is one of the most popular brunch spots in Paris, and for good reason.

The line is always out the door on weekends, but it’s worth the wait! The food is amazing, and the service is super friendly (which admittedly can be hard to come by when it comes to the customer service experience in Paris).

On the menu at Holybelly 5, you’ll find a variety of both sweet and savory dishes. There are pancakes, eggs benedict, chia pudding, and so much more. The portions are large, and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend their classic Holybelly BLT, it’s to die for!

For a bit more of a breakfast twist on this classic sandwich, I added a fried egg and some avocado to mine for $2 extra. Worth it!

My friends ordered the savory stack pancakes, which is a classic stack of sweet pancakes topped with a fried egg, two strips of maple smoked bacon, and drizzled in maple syrup. I may or may not have stolen a few bites off their plates, it was that good.

That’s what friends are for though, am I right?

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, they also have a selection of pancakes with roasted hazelnuts, fresh berries, and whipped cream.

And of course, you can’t forget about their famous poached egg on homemade brioche. It’s plated alongside sauteed spinach, zucchini, and artichokes and comes with a side of parmesan butter sauce.

Too good!

We both decided to wash our meals down with an espresso and their signature breakfast cocktail “The 1940’s Red Snapper”. It’s a mix of celery-infused gin, HP sauce, organic tomato juice, and jalapeño slices for a bit of added spice. It’s basically Holybelly’s take on the classic Bloody Mary, and it did not disappoint!

I didn’t even know I liked Bloody Marys until I tried this one, and now I’m hooked.

If you’re looking for a delicious, no-fuss meal and amazing service to match, Holybelly 5 is the place to go.

The service is commendable, the cozy atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s truly worth the hype. The portions are large and filling, so come here with a big appetite.

It’s definitely earned its spot at the top of my list for the best brunches in Paris!

Just be sure to get there early on weekends to beat the line.

The Hardware Société

Photo: Hardware Société

Location: 10 Rue Lamarck, 75018 Paris

Price range: €€

Why I like it: The menu is a unique blend of Australian and French cuisine, and the food is absolutely incredible. The vibe is also really cool and relaxed, and the staff is super attentive and accommodating.

What to order: The chorizo and baked eggs platter or fried brioche topped with strawberries and vanilla marscapone

Hours: Open daily from 9:30am to 4pm

If you’re looking for a good brunch spot in the 18th arrondissement, this is your place.

Situated in the Montmartre quarter of Paris nestled in the shadows of the Sacré Coeur, The Hardware Société is a beautiful Aussie-style café that aims to redefine the idea of breakfast and brunch.

The inside of the restaurant is very bright and airy, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. They even have a small outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a meal on sunny days in Paris.

The staff is friendly and extremely welcoming as soon as you step in the door, which reminded me a lot of the brunch restaurants I used to frequent back home in the states and made me feel right at home.

The menu at The Hardware Société is very extensive and offers a wide variety of both sweet and savory dishes, as well as an impressive drinks menu. I ordered the “deux” baked eggs dish, which comes with chorizo, potatoes, pimento, queso manchego, and aioli. It was so good that I practically licked my plate clean!

My friend ordered the fried brioche, which is a stack of 3 large brioche slices served with fresh strawberries, whipped vanilla mascarpone, lemon thyme, and strawberry syrup. The brioche was light and fluffy and melted in your mouth.

Seriously one of the best brunch dishes I’ve ever had!

I was absolutely stuffed by the time I finish my meal, but I decided to order one of their signature breakfast cocktails anyway to help wash it all down.

So, I went with the “Coffee Negroni” option, which is a mix of gin, sweet vermouth, Campari bitter liqueur, and of course, espresso coffee. Normally I don’t like gin but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this cocktail!

It was the perfect mix of bitter and sweet and went down way too easily. It was a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up that woke me right up.

Hardware Société also sells their own merchandise here, like their in-house coffee beans, their signature “No Eggs on Toast” tote bags, and their No Eggs on Toast cookbook. So if you’re looking for a unique souvenir to bring home with you from your trip to Paris, this is the perfect place to find it!

Overall, I absolutely loved my experience at The Hardware Société and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and friendly service in a beautiful setting. It’s a unique blend of European sensibility mixed with Australian charm, and it shows in everything from the food to the décor.

They have an extensive brunch menu that’ll surely satisfy your taste buds, and the great service from the wait staff definitely doesn’t hurt either.

If you find yourself on the hunt for brunch in Paris and decide to check this place out, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Just be warned that it can get pretty crowded on weekends and they don’t take reservations at the Paris location, all tables are open on a first-come-first-serve basis only. So be sure to arrive early to snag a table!

Note: They’ve also got locations in Melbourne and Barcelona, so if you’re ever in either of those cities be sure to check them out as well!

Sadelle’s at Kith

sadelles at kith

Location: 49 Rue Pierre Charron, 75008 Paris

Price range: €€

Why I like it: The vintage-style décor is really cool and trendy, and the food is great with good portion sizes at decent prices.

What to order: The fresh brioche French toast or the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon

Hours: Open daily from 10am to 6pm

If you’re a fellow American, and more specifically an East Coaster, then you’re probably familiar with the New York-based restaurant chain Sadelle’s. And if you are, then you’ll be happy to know that they’ve recently opened up a new restaurant location in Paris!

Sadelle’s is high up on the list of best brunch spots in NYC, and it has equally earned its spot here on the list of brunch gems in Paris.

Situated on Rue Pierre Charon in the 8th arrondissement, Sadelle’s at Kith is a beautiful café that is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely brunch with friends. The space is large and airy, with high ceilings, and a sunroof giving off plenty of natural light.

Sadelle’s is one of the best brunch places for Americans in Paris looking for a little taste of home.

The menu features all of your favorite Sadelle’s dishes like bagels and smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, and pancakes. And of course, no meal here would be complete without one of their delicious freshly-baked pastries!

I ordered the eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. The hollandaise sauce was light and creamy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The smoked salmon added a nice salty flavor to the dish, and the whole thing was served on top of a fluffy English muffin.

My friend Erin ordered the pancakes, which came with fresh berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup. The pancakes were nice and thick, and the berries added a lovely pop of color and sweetness to the dish.

They give extremely generous portions here – both dishes were HUGE! This was great for us because it gave us the opportunity to share and try a little bit of everything.

Photo: Sadelle’s at Kith

The service here was wonderful and the staff was very friendly, despite it being super busy. Our waitress was attentive and even gave us some great recommendations on what to order, which we greatly appreciated!

Despite Sadelle’s being a New York-based chain, it definitely had a Parisian feel to it and fits in perfectly with its surroundings.

And the prices were not at all like New York prices, which we were definitely thankful for!

We had a great experience at Sadelle’s at Kith and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for some tasty brunch offerings in a beautiful setting. It’s located inside of a department store, so it’s the ideal place to stop and refuel after a day of shopping.

The décor at Sadelle’s is gorgeous and makes for a great Sunday brunch in Paris photo op!

Calling for advance booking is ideal here; you’ll want to make a reservation at this place to ensure you get a table! It’s usually packed to the brim with people.

But you’ll be able to walk around the store a bit and do some window-shopping while you wait for your table, so it’s not all bad!

Frenchie To Go

frenchie to go brunch in paris
Photo: Frenchie to Go

Location: 9 Rue du Nil, 75002 Paris

Price range: €€

Why I like it: Its classic “American” food menu gives this place a nostalgic feel, and the small-but-cozy space is perfect for a casual meal with friends.

What to order: The Reuben pastrami sandwich (of course!) or the Chicago hot dog

Hours: Monday-Wednesday 11am to 6pm, Thursday-Saturday 11am to 10pm, open 9am to 6pm on Sundays

This is another great place for hot drinks and pastries, or a light meal if you’re on the go.

Frenchie To Go is located in the 2nd arrondissement and is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite before exploring all that Paris has to offer. The space is small but very cute, with exposed brick walls and hanging plants.

The menu at Frenchie To Go offers a French-style twist on classic American foods like hot dogs, pastrami sandwiches, and mac & cheese. The founder of this place said that he wanted the menu to reflect all the street foods he ate while living and traveling abroad in London and New York, and it definitely shows!

I ordered the “Hot Chicago Dog”, which is a beef hot dog topped with gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, and your choice of pastrami or crispy bacon. I have to admit, it was delicious!

The hot dog itself was very juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were the perfect addition. I went for the bacon option and it was cooked to perfection.

My only complaint is that the bun was a little too big for the hot dog, but that’s a minor detail.

My friend ordered the pastrami sandwich, which came topped with red cabbage coleslaw and pickles, and she opted for a side of fries to go with her sandwich. The sandwich was very hearty and filling, and the coleslaw added a nice crunch. The fries were also cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely.

Frenchie To Go is one of the best places for a quick and tasty meal. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable.

I liked the fact that it was a smaller more cozy kinda place, and it really seemed like this was one of the places to go in Paris that only locals know about. This definitely helped to make it feel a lot less overwhelming than most of the other brunch spots in Paris that are always overflowing with people.

We actually got to relax a bit and talk while we enjoyed our meal here, which was definitely a plus!

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in the late morning or early afternoon in Paris, I would definitely recommend stopping by Frenchie To Go!

Marcelle

Location: 22 Rue Montmarte 75001 (1st arrondissement) and 159 Rue de Grenelle, 75007 (7th arrondissement)

Price range: €

Why I like it: Simple, straightforward breakfast and pastry menu in a cozy setting

What to order: The ricotta, fried egg and avocado toast, pain perdu (french toast), or any of the delicious pastries!

Hours: Open daily from 9am to 6pm

Marcelle is a great brunch spot in Paris if you’re looking for somewhere that’s a cozy, casual mix of both a bakery and a traditional café. This place has two locations, one in the 1st arrondissement and one in the 7th arrondissement (near the Eiffel Tower), so it’s easy to find no matter where you’re staying in the city.

They offer a simple but delicious menu of both sweet and savory dishes, as well as a wide selection of pastries, baked goods, and fresh juices.

My friends and I stopped by this place looking for some food to bring us back to life after a long night out, and we were not disappointed. We started with a cinnamon roll to share, which ended up being huge!

marcelle paris
Our cinnamon roll was massive!

Even with the three of us, we could barely finish it. But it was fluffy and soft with just the right amount of sweetness. Marcelle’s cinnamon rolls are definitely some of the best I’ve ever had.

For our main dishes, two of us got the salmon eggs benedict while one got the avocado toast.

The eggs benedict were very good, and it was exactly what I needed. The hollandaise sauce light and flavorful, and was perfectly made and not at all runny like it often is at some breakfast places. The salmon was fresh and the side salad was also a nice touch.

I needed some fresh fruit juice to bring me back to life after the night we had, so I opted for a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice to go along with my breakfast.

My friend was nice enough to let me sneak a few bites of her avocado toast, which was equally as good and was very filling. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, and the toast was crispy but not too hard. The toast was topped with ricotta and a fried egg which I thought was interesting and made for a unique blend of flavors.

marcelle eggs benedict
My eggs benny with bacon was *Chef’s kiss*

All in all, I think Marcelle is a great place to enjoy some tasty brunch food in a casual setting with friends.

The food is tasty and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It was a quiet and comfy place to enjoy some good conversation and recap the night with friends over a meal.

They also have a wide selection of pastries to take to-go if you’re in a hurry!

If you’re looking for a relaxed spot for brunch in Paris that won’t break the bank, Marcelle is definitely the place to go. It’s more of a coffee shop vibe that also serves food and fresh bread, so you could also stop at this place just for a cup of coffee or a hot drink.

Sunday in Soho

Photo: Sunday in Soho

Location: 7 Rue Saint-Marc, 75002 Paris

Price range: €€

Why I like it: Bottomless mimosas, unique and creative menu items, great for people watching and taking aesthetic brunch photos. Did I mention bottomless mimosas?

What to order: The chicken and waffles or “Notorious BEC”

Hours: Open daily from 9am to 5pm, as well as 6:30pm to 10:30pm on Thursday-Saturday

Another New York City-inspired brunch place, Sunday in Soho is a great place to go for a leisurely and decadent brunch with friends.

Their menu offers both sweet and savory dishes like deli sandwiches, egg dishes, pancakes, and veggie bowls. The space is large and airy with high ceilings, and the walls are adorned with chic black-and-white photos of Paris and motivational sayings.

This iconic Parisian brunch spot has been growing in popularity in recent months due to going viral on Tiktok, so you know I had to test it out for myself.

The menu at Sunday in Soho was a actually pleasant surprise. In addition to the classic brunch dishes that I was expecting, they also had a few more unique items on the menu, like a Philly cheesesteak and chicken and waffles.

The names they chose for the food items on their menu were also super cute and catchy, like “The Notorious BEC”, a bacon, cheddar, and egg sandwich dish; and a bacon, potato, and egg scramble called “Eggspectations.”

They’ve even got a Mediterranean-style vitality bowl on the menu named after Queen B herself, “the Beyoncé”.

I ended up ordering the “Southern Belle” which was a breakfast burger with fried chicken and cheddar cheese, smothered in gravy and topped with a sunny-side-up egg. It also came with a side of breakfast potatoes, which were delicious and crispy.

The sandwich was absolutely amazing and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, hands down.

The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the gravy added the perfect amount of richness and flavor to the dish. The cheddar cheese brought all the flavors together perfectly. It was a messy dish, but so worth it.

My favorite thing about Sunday in Soho is that they offer bottomless mimosas and bottomless Bloody Sundays for just $20 per person. Bottomless mimosas are pretty much a staple brunch item back home in the States, but it’s almost unheard of for any other breakfast or brunch restaurant to offer them here in France.

I definitely enjoyed throwing back some mimosas with friends and reminiscing about fun times back home; it couldn’t have been a more perfect way to spend a Sunday in Paris.

Sunday in Soho is the place for you if you’re looking for a fun and vibrant place to enjoy a boozy brunch with friends. The atmosphere is fun and casual, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service was great, and our food came out pretty quickly considering how busy the place was.

If you’re looking for a new spot to try out for brunch in Paris, this place is definitely worth checking out. They also offer a veggie brunch here, so those looking for some vegetarian options should check this place out.

Just be sure to make a reservation online in advance because this place gets packed, and it’s almost impossible to get a table without one.

Wild & The Moon

Photo: Wild & The Moon

Location(s): 55 Rue Charlot, 75003 (3rd arrondissement); 138 Rue Amelot, 75011 (11th arrondissement); 4 Rue du Helder, 75009 Paris (9th arrondissement); and 19 Pl. du Marché Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris (1st arrondissement)

Price range: €€

Why I like it: All organic and vegan food options as well as fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, and veggie bowls. A great place with a variety of food options that’ll suit everyone

What to order: The “Rawliflower” salad bowl, truffle pizza, or the “Acai Bowl”

Hours: Open daily from 9am to 9pm

This hipster hangout is one of the most popular places for brunch in Paris, and for good reason. Located in Le Marais in the trendy 3rd arrondissement, Wild & The Moon is a plant-based restaurant that offers healthy and delicious food options on their menu.

They have a wide variety of juices, smoothies, bowls, salads, and wraps to choose from. I ordered the “Simply Green” juice, which was a mix of kale, cucumber, apple, fennel, and spirulina.

It was the perfect refreshment after a long night out and helped to wake me up and get me ready for the day ahead.

My friends and I were starving this day so we decided to split one of their frozen bowls as an appetizer while we waited for our meals to come out. We decided on the “Six Pack Protein Granola Bowl”, which was a blend of sliced bananas, peanut butter, vegan protein, almond milk, and homemade granola.

It was the perfect little snack to tide us over until our main dishes arrived.

For my main dish, I ordered the truffle pizza, which was a thin-crust pizza topped with mushrooms, truffle oil, and vegan cheese. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, vegan or not. The dough was light and crispy, and the toppings were flavorful and plentiful.

I’m honestly not used to eating vegan foods and I was surprised at how good it was!

My friends both chose the “Rawliflower” salad bowl, which was a mix of quinoa, kale, roasted cauliflower, avocado, and sunflower seeds. They both enjoyed it and said it was filling and satisfying.

Honestly, I was really impressed with Wild & The Moon. The food was healthy and delicious, and the service was great. The prices were a bit on the high side, but I think it’s worth it for the quality of food you’re getting.

If you’re looking for great brunch places in Paris that offer both vegan and gluten-free options, this is definitely the place to go.

Side note: This place also has locations in Amsterdam, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and NYC!
