Exit the A12 at the Carrodano/Lèvanto exit and continue on the SP566dir until you reach Albero d’Oro, where you will turn left onto the SP38 towards Monterosso.

Monterosso al Mare can also be reached by train, but it is a bit of a hassle, as you will have to transfer in Genoa. From Milano Centrale station, take the regional train to Genova Piazza Principe. Transfer to the regional train to La Spezia Centrale. The journey takes about 2 hours and costs around €15. Once you arrive in La Spezia, there is a direct bus from the station to Monterosso al Mare.
