This spacious hostel offers plenty of dorms as well as private rooms, perfect for solo travelers and groups. The interiors are cozy, comfortable, and colorful with plenty of common areas to hang out in.
The inside is decorated like a traditional Swiss chalet which makes you feel like you’re in the Alps.
There’s also a kitchen area where guests can prepare their own meals, and a bar for socializing or grabbing a beer. Balmer’s Interlaken includes a game room with pool tables, dart boards, and board games. This is great for anyone looking to meet up with other travelers over some friendly competition!
There’s also a large garden terrace you can enjoy during the summer months with a hot tub. Balmer’s is located close to all the shops and is just a few minutes’ walk from the city center.
Balmer’s is family owned for over three generations and the staff here is always super friendly and welcoming. I’ve stayed here three separate times and have had nothing but great experiences each time.
I seriously can’t recommend Balmer’s for solo travelers and backpackers enough!
